I worked at Con-way Freight full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Con-way Freight loves to move people up and see people succeed at their company. They hire truck drivers right out of school, and they also hire people who have no previous experience and train them to be a truck driver, saving their employees the costs of school. They have a management training program, which leads people on their way to being a service center manager. The pay for management seems competitive for their area.

They want their employees to be safe, in and out of work. They also provide services for wellness and health. They have a team of employees who strive to make their work environment a positive one.

Excellent health care.

They keep their employees abreast of changes and where the company is going.

Cons

You must be willing to relocate if you want to move up with this company. Processes and changes happen very slowly.

Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and put some of their suggestions and ideas for improvement above that of CEO's.

    Pros

The pay is good but hours are to long and they will over work you!

    Cons

To many hours or working every weekend, managers will lie to you just to get you hired and then tell you they never said that

    Advice to Management

Why do you allow mangers who beat their kids or wife to work there! Why do you hire managers that yell and put their fist in your face when they don't get their way! Why do you hire mangers that will not pay you for the work you do without a fight to get!
