Pros

Benefits
Solid Company Philosophy
Humana backing of Concentra and monies applies

Cons

Management team in Denver
Lack of communication to current COD's
Disparaging words about past COD's from AOD
Lack of consistent training of new COD's, ACOD's, Physicians
Lack of professionalism towards current team members...speaking ill of past COD's

Advice to Management

Get rid of AOD's in Denver market. Many amazing employees have left due to tyrant AOD's who have no idea how to manage COD's.

I have been working at Concentra full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great benefits
    Great company culture
    Great long-term vision
Many growth opportunities that are encouraged by upper management
Opportunity to create a large impact on your center- with teamwork especially

    Cons

Pay can be on the low side
Can easily put in too many hours if you don't watch yourself
    Provider relations can be challenging
    Staffing for extended hour centers
Processes have not yet been consistent around the company, but this is being addressed- will be fixed in the next year.
Many times you will do things "out of the job description" like, working at the front desk even though you are a manger.
Firing people can be a long process that needs a lot of written documentation

    Advice to Management

Make pay comparable to that in the market, especially on the center level.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Concentra as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Had laid back supervisor, but still challenged me with tasks
    -Helpful coworkers
-Able to teach me about managing, hiring, and payment posting
    -Had flex time

    Cons

-First person to intern in the Billing Department
-Had to learn the system quickly, but it was not too trying

    Advice to Management

Flex time is great for working with schedule. Keep hiring people that do the job well & are social, this made work not such a chore.
