I worked at Concordia University as a contractor (Less than a year)

Pros

I was a TA for one of my class. they give relatively good rate for a student and part-time job, and you have work closely with professor for some academic advantages, also it is an opportunity to excise public speaking.

Cons

The only cons i can think of is that it can take some of your time to study, usually the subject you had mastered it so you can be the TA for the course. Buy you could learn new things.
