I worked at Conn's full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

$10.75 an hour or commission whichever is higher. Spiffs on products and furniture sales make for a better paycheck.

Cons

I was always one of the top 3 salespeople in the store I worked in and never received more then $2300 a month. Most TV's and Electronics were paid at 1% commission. Big believer in cold calling previous and current customers.

Advice to Management

Pay more and the turn over would not be as high.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    - Decent pay
    - Ok benefits
    - Plenty of hours to go around if you love to work

    Cons

    - Unreasonable quotas
    - Disarray at corporate
    - Constant turnover on sales level and store management (9 GMs in 2 years of employment)
    - Frequent policy changes resulting in confusion and contradiction
    - Outdated sales model
    - Outdated uniform / store grooming policies (no beards allowed at the time of my employment)
    - Work hours are a killer if you enjoy spending time with family or have responsibilities

    Advice to Management

Stability = success. High turnover is not going to fix the company's problems. Creating a solid foundation and updating a few of the company wide policies (dress / sales model) will turn the ship around.
