Pros

The people. The work environment is very friendly and welcoming, and the people have been in the business for a very long time.

Cons

Lack of communication. Stagnant work force that is aging. Lack of communication by management to employees. Distrust amongst employees and staff.

Advice to Management

Make the work place more transparent with better communication and less secretive dealings. Stress importance of taking on multiple roles.

    Pros

    If you are interested in the electrical Distribution business, its a great starting off point, and if you want to manage your own business regardless of the industry

    Cons

    As a college graduate, you will be surrounded by a lot of people that are very closeminded and have never attended anything above community college. they also have an artificial timeline built into the learning of every activity, so even if you master it quicker than others, they wont let you learn anything new

    Advice to Management

    In my experience, my managers were either really old and didn't relate to me much, or were young, and incredibly type A, and wanted you to always being doing something, even if it was busy work that added no value

    You can really get a career out of it if you have the patience and drive to finish the MT program

    Very blue collar environment, the training is a bit boring...not challenging
