Continental is dedicated to staying on the leading edge of technology for both the global benefit and the economic benefit for consumers.They continue to look ahead even these hard economic times.The auto industry is facing lots of unknowns and Continental is taking the necessary steps to make sure they are positioned to be a leading supplier. The research and development side of operations is still busy working on developing the next generation of products.While work is still,well work.It is satisfying to know that this is a company that is willing to look out for its employees future and stay focused on what is happening now.

Cons

Still has some old school closed minded people at the top. Not always willing to listen or share information.

Advice to Management

Let the company run as a whole,dont keep dictating things that people know arent needed and dont help.

    Pros

    International company so there are opportunities for international travel and assignments but it seems that the international assignments are more for people into the US
    Number 3 or 4 automotive supplier in the world

    Cons

    The only source of revenue is in the automotive industry so pay and benefits ebb and flow with the health of that industry
    At this facility engineers are leaving left and right and everyone else is being laid off
    The company is very lean as far as management and because it is a German company it seems that opportunities for Americans to move up the ladder are few

    Advice to Management

    Look harder at ways of retaining good engineers and generally your best people
    Offering "competitive" benefits and compensation does not kepp the best people under your employ. You should offer above "competitive" benefits and compemsation

    Pros

    The facility is very nice since it is new and well maintained. There is a wellness center which includes a basketball court, sand volleyball court, and a soccer field. The company has fair benefits given the market. Also, the ability to go to a doctor during the day or a dentist without taking time off is also a plus. Telecommunting is also a plus. Flexible Hours, Facility, People, Work Life Balance

    Cons

    Senior Management needs to lead and not manage tasks. Provide more feedback. We need to change and adapt to the current conditions of the market and be proactive. Reactive solutions are not very productive and efficient with the given resources.

    Advice to Management

    Look at the internal survey results. Take some action and examine the results over time.
