I worked at Convergys full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

You can control your own destiny if you stay client billable and keep your skills relevant.

Cons

Internal positions are always at risk if the company might not make its numbers.
Very political make sure to watch your back. Make friends and stay involved with whats going on.
Atmosphere is Jeans Casual from CEO to Agent. This may be a plus for some but not for me.

    I have been working at Convergys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Immediate and affordable benefits, for a single person.
    Vacation is earned every two weeks.

    Cons

    Unfair expectations from management.
    Work environment needs dramatic improvement.
    Sick days are never available when needed.
    Under staffed and not enough training.

    Advice to Management

    Happy employees make customers happy.

    I worked at Convergys full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Pay could be good, incentive programs were good, scheduling was overall ok, the training program had good trainers and a fairly good training process

    Cons

    Escalated call procedure was at first poor and then non-existent, most supervisors were suffering from extreme burnout and therefore didn't care if you did a good job or if you were satisfied at all with your work, management did not listen to complaints, attendance policy was horrendous and difficult to adhere to

    Advice to Management

    Please, listen to your employees? The people that take those calls do a VERY DIFFICULT job, and they deserve a management team that has stress relief for their employees foremost on their minds..
