I worked at Convergys full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

*Paid training; good pay for 20-somethings; mostly fun people to work with; reasonable scheduling; clean work environment

Cons

Inadequate training & re-training; few people on the floor who had a clue about the more obscure/rarely-used systems; too much emphasis on sales and upsells than customer SERVICE.

Advice to Management

Make sure ALL your TLs and managers are well-trained in BOSS and SORD.

    I have been working at Convergys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Pay is severly low but hey it is working at home with unlimited OT. This is not a career position just something to add to my business income. Takes me to about 6500.00 month now with this role. Im not complaining yet!

    Cons

    Training begins on the 4th

    Advice to Management

    Have not had interaction with the management staff to date.

    Pros

    The best thing about this job is getting to talk to and meet different types of people on a daily basis.

    Cons

    Dealing with the always changing "call metrics" and unprofessional, impersonal management. The "team leaders" change too often.

    Advice to Management

    Stop making so many changes in call metrics, and stop focusing more on the numbers than the employees! You don't want the calls to sound so transactional, but yet that's what you drive the employees to by being so concerned about hitting your stupid numbers! Good customer service is about going the extra mile, not rushing through the call to make sure all of the numbers are hit! Employees can't keep up with what is or is not acceptable because it changes all of the time! Therefore, leading up to all of the disciplinary actions and the impersonal, uncaring, unprofessional, robotic environment called Convergys in Chattanooga.
