I have been working at Conversant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Dynamic workplace, many intelligent and motivated colleagues. Lots of great technology, great ethics - the company helps to improve the reputation of the industry. It is on you to advance your career and strive to move upward - people aren't promoted just because they do a good-enough job in a given position to the right amount of time. This may be why people feel like there is high turnover in certain parts of the company - some people feel they don't move up fast enough, but from what I have seen those have been people who did not go out of their way to stand up.

    Cons

There is a lot to do, especially in Q4. It is on you to maintain your work-life balance.
Some teams don't have a strong sense of ownership, the mindset of middle management plays some of a role in this. This is also why the Dotomi people are making major inroads and progress in forging the path for the joint/new company - their open cross-team communication, structure, agility, and very strong sense of ownership are things that need to be embraced more in the rest of VCLK.

    Advice to Management

The process for opening up reqs for new hires needs to be streamlined. The company is clearly aggressive about hiring and hires great people... but the process for a manager to open new positions puts a few barriers up for the manager. This leads to team leads/managers not being able to push it through with a reasonable amount of effort, causing frustration among team members who are in desperate need of help. This comes from our friends in Chicago more than anyone else

    Pros

Wear jeans, free coffee and tea, some great people, work regular hours

    Cons

Lack of transparency, more concerned about the clock than the results, most of decisions made in Chicago

    Advice to Management

Recognize that you have untapped talent, and many locations and products to leverage.
