I have been working at Conversant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun work atmosphere, free breakfast, table football table, relatively young and vibrant workforce

    Cons

Little or no structured training, poor salary compared to industry average, poor communication, tired product with little innovation - very much a follower in the market

    Advice to Management

More communication, news generally tends to filter down through rumour rather than from management. No knowledge sharing across the business. Too much of a boys locker room feel to how business is conducted.

    Pros

    Decent pay
Good Benefits: 401k, discounted stock options
    Flexible with vacation time
    Casual dress
Can work from home in some departments
    Good work/life balance
    Free drinks and snacks
Looks good on resume for the next job

    Cons

Management does not make much of an effort to help further the career path of their employees.
Lack of communication, concern, and professionalism from management.
Not very many training opportunities are made available to the employees. This makes it tough for lower level employees, who sometimes get blamed if something goes wrong.
    High turnover.
    Low morale.
Obvious favoritism from management. It's disheartening to see some people treated so well while others are treated unfairly.
No HR representatives to monitor how the office operates. Employees communicate with HR representatives either remotely or through occasional visits.
Lack of communication of changes done to projects. Employees tend to find out about the changes made much later.

    Advice to Management

Hire HR representatives for this office location.
Take an active interest in the career path of your employees.
Hire more middle management who have people skills.
Be more fair and consistent with ALL of your employees. Don't display obvious favoritism toward certain employees.
Communicate changes to projects much more often.
