Cook County Sheriff - Ok, as any place there’s the good and not so good. | Glassdoor
  1. "Ok, as any place there’s the good and not so good."

I worked at Cook County Sheriff

    Decent pay, good health benefits.

Extremely high turnover. Not enough officers. Safety protocols not always followed. Stressful, especially on Officer mental health. Job affects everyone in household.

    Advice to Management

Offer more mental health outlets to officers. Higher more officers. Pay more. The stress is high. Especially as everyone leaves to CPD and other law enforcement agencies.

Sheriff is great and wants to make a difference.

Rest of staff is full of politics.
