Doesn't Recommend

Pros

Resources for projects
Develop technical skills
Large product breadth

Cons

Poor communication
Lack of ability to grow
Lower raises with longer term employees
Promotions are approx. every 5 years or more, but appear regardless of performance
salary increases are nearly the same for everyone - strong performers receive an extra 1/4% -
not enough to support year after year efforts.
Top sided - more managers than probably needed

Advice to Management

Reduce micromanagement with experienced employees
Rethink oursourcing for the sake of outsourcing - prove cost savings before making moves, and track results to include total costs - COPQ, On Time Delivery, etc.
Incentives for hard workers - long term employees lack motivation

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Company stock has done well.....if you were lucky enough as an employee to buy some on the open market, you have done well over the last few years.

    Cons

Management just can't seem to get it together. Turn over in management is very high. New managers come in with new ideas from previous employeers and try to implement these "One process fix all" before they get to know the business.

Management seems to think that the best way to grow the business is on backs of thier suppliers, manufacturing in low cost countries, and getting rid of every employee who ever new anything about how to manufacture the right product, instead of investing in new technology and new ideas.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to invest in the future. Change management incentives based on today's results.
