I have been working at Corning full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Many locations throughout the US; when opportunities arise, you can move without leaving the company
Large number of job families; this is a good company for engineers, researchers, administrative, general business, and more; some projects include cross-functional teams
Headquarters is Corning, NY; nice town

Cons

Top management is not diversified - 5 white males, 1 black male
Many layers between most jobs and leadership
Stock price does not reflect true value of this company

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Corning full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

benefits, salary, variety, challenge, innovation of products that make a real difference to humanity

    Cons

unclear why some senior leaders are promoted. Supervisors are becoming more demeaning, belittling and condescending. godd leadership skills and results count less amnd less. It is sliding toward average corporate culture vs. outstanding, which it used to be. It's very disppointed that open bullying is not only tolerated but promoted.

    Advice to Management

Get input futher down in the org. The climate is not good and morale is not what it used to be. Good people are ready to go somewhere else.
