I have been working at Costco Wholesale full-time (More than a year)

Pros

a great place to work and the starting pay is much higher than other places. the moral of the warehouse is always high. i love this place.

Cons

the downside of working at costco is that they do not offer overtime. and sometimes working in a seniority based company is bad.

I have been working at Costco Wholesale part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Offers great benefits to its employees (Medical, Dental, 401K)
Promotes from within the company so all of your superiors were once at the bottom
Good introductory hourly wage (1.5X pay on Sunday)
    Flexible schedules for college students
    Very active work environment
Potential to move up to corporate
Good at handling with personal/health issues per employee

    Cons

    Workplace politics is very prevalent
Scheduling is inconsistent; sometimes get off at 10:30PM
Some managers will try to micromanage every process on the front end
Children of corporate employees always have the upper hand regardless of seniority
Managers are constantly changing the rules about procedures
A small portion of members feel that since they pay for a membership, the employees are somehow below them

    Advice to Management

Be fair and be consistent. All employees should be held to the same standards regardless of who their parents are or how long they have been there. Allowing longtime employees to be repeatedly rude to other coworkers and employees sets a bad example for new hires and makes for a bad work environment. Offer classes/seminars for employees to prepare for other positions.

I have been working at Costco Wholesale part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Best benefits for part-time employees. Good people to work with. Pay raises are determined by how many hours you've worked, not by who likes you.

    Cons

I Sometimes have to be at work at 4 or 5 in the morning. I don't have anything negative to say.

    Advice to Management

Talk more to the people that have been working in the departments a long time, they might have some good ideas.
