Pros

Good benefits and great pay with lots of room for advancement. The work hours are pretty good for a retail job.

Cons

One of the down sides of working at Costco is that you usually have to start as a part timer.

Advice to Management

I don't have any gripes about our leadership. I think they do a wonderful job and seem very receptive to employee's needs and ideas.

    Pros

I enjoy working with Coscto, They have the whole break down of your raises. They are very big on promoting within. My general manager called me into her office to talk about my future with
costco and how I want to Promote. Time and half pay for working on Sundays.

    Cons

They start most of the employees at Part time. Sometimes seniority out weighs Job performance. You dont vacation until your first year

    Advice to Management

Look at Job performance commpared to Seniority

    Pros

Decent starting pay, good benefits (even for part-time employees). Great place for immigrants.

    Cons

It all depends on the warehouse you work at. The warehouse I work at, you have to be a total suck up to all the supervisors and managers, and tell on people to move up in the company. All the managers are very fake, and don't care about your personal life. The managers at my store talk to the employees as they are 1st grade teacher scolding a 6 year old. They have had me working outside on carts for 2+ years, and i'll get 40 hours a week working in the blistering heat, and they don't appreciate your work. They never tell you you are doing a good job; instead they will find something you are doing wrong. I work harder than 90% of the people there and somehow the people moving up in the building are fake, suck-ups. They are also sexist in a way. Girls will fold clothes for 2 hours and the guys will end up doing reject, dirty work at the end of the night. I know it all depends on the warehouse, but Simi Valley, CA # 128 is run like total crap. Average IQ of management is probably stupidly low.

    Advice to Management

Hire more educated, realistic and down to earth managers.
