I worked at Costco Wholesale part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay for being a college student and they were flexible with my school and social schedule. Left after three years making $14 per hour as a 21 year old.

    Cons

Showing up late for work, even by three minutes more than twice in a month constitutes a write up, and they go on your performance record which can hurt you.

Having a college degree means nothing if trying to move up to supervisor or manager.

    Advice to Management

    Recruit more college students

I worked at Costco Wholesale full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you do not have a college education, you can still get to a good salary in a short period of time....You just have to be a good fit....(See Cons)
Also, this company has a high level of Corporate Social Responsibility

    Cons

Undertrained Supervisors and a very rushed environment. Unless you are in VERY good condition, this is not the job for you until you become a supervisor, then you can sit/ stand around alot.

    Advice to Management

Provide leadership training and "people" skills training to Supervisors. Just because they were once best in their department, does not mean they they will do well leading others.
