Pros
Useful if you urgently need a job. Can provide short-term experience for your resume. Fast-paced environment that forces you to adapt quickly.
Cons
Constantly increasing workload with new workflows added regularly, without role adjustments, compensation review, or strategic planning. Hired under the title Community Operations Analyst, but assigned to perform tasks that significantly differ from the original role — without contract updates. Management justifies this by saying “everyone does the same job,” which is clearly not true. Leadership lacks basic people management skills and emotional intelligence. Many managers are unprepared to lead teams. Dismissive and inappropriate comments from senior leadership, including statements like “If you’re not happy, just leave” and suggesting employees blame the company because they cannot find better opportunities. Passive-aggressive and sarcastic communication style from high management, creating a culture of intimidation rather than collaboration. Mental health is not treated as a priority. Burnout is frequent and normalised. Feedback is often met with defensiveness instead of accountability.
