I worked at Covenant House full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Excellent time off policy, superb benefits and matching of the 401b plan. The growth I gain is limitlessness not to mention the patience and understanding of others.

Cons

There were times when the leadership lack however, no one is perfect.

Advice to Management

Being a differential crisis worker I was blessed to be a part of the management team.

    Pros

    Working at Covenant House New Orleans allows you to build skills and expertise managing and developing at risk youth to self sufficiency

    Cons

    Working at Covenant House is a labor of love.When working in 24/7 care facility, burn -out occurs more regularly. Triggering for trauma for staff and participants is also common.

    Advice to Management

    Mental health days should be built into and not take away from sick or vacation leave.
