I worked at Credit Suisse as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

The people really separated the private bank apart from other companies I have worked for.

Cons

Since it is a foreign company, we were limited in resources and do not hold as large a presence in the United States

I worked at Credit Suisse full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I made some great connections with a lot of the people I worked with. The culture overall is heavily influenced by the Swiss culture/mentality which is good in some ways - like the fact that they take less risk than a lot of their US based counterparts.

    Cons

The organizational structure is very complicated and it often felt that communication between departments was non-existent. The Swiss culture, while great in many ways, definitely comes through when trying to think progressively about problems and solutions. They seem to be afraid of their shadow a lot and make every effort to stay "neutral" on everything. This was frustrating because creative ideas and solutions tended to get brushed aside for fear of how it would look publicly.
