I have been working at Credit Suisse as an intern

Pros

Amazing place to work, supportive staff and management. Very friendly. Best internship as well. You learn so much in so little time (3 months)

Cons

Uncertainty economy so job security isn't as high as one would hope. But if you work hard and form good bonds you should have nothing to worry about.

I worked at Credit Suisse full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Benefits
    - Good introduction to corporate world
    - Genuine people
    - Very big on philanthropy

    Cons

    - Too political
    - Exploitative working practices (OT and hours)
    - No innovation
    - No accountability for senior management
    - Huge pay gaps between senior officers and line
    - Playing second fiddle to New York with better operational talent
    - No reward system- sometimes a well performing group would be more apt to move to India

    Advice to Management

Do the right thing. You have been given opportunities in your lifetime to create a sustainable career. The economy will always be challenging, but if you want to be the world's most admired bank, you should try to reward the people that actively do that everyday.
