Pros

Leader in LED research in world. Strong university industry collaboration. Working with many PhDs broadens your knowledge and it is good environment to learn.

Cons

you have to work more than 40 hours a week. sometimes it is difficult to keep balance between work and personal life because of work pressure.

Advice to Management

should think about the family of employees. Working from 7 AM to 10 PM at night sometimes is not healthy.

    Pros

involved in direct research, able to talk with management frequently. good support and feedbacks. nice benifits and rewards at work

    Cons

low salary, not too much hike in salary in the years ahead. Phds are mor respected and others are considered inferior or given less responsibilities

    Advice to Management

offer more freedom to employees and salaries should be base on location and not overall strucucture. nice job anyways to bring company in front

    I worked at Cree full-time

    Pros

some nice people, really depends on what group you end up in, the gym and cafeteria are nice perks, if you have a toxic personality you will succeed

    Cons

many groups expect 60+ hours per week, weak vision and prospects for the future, racing to the bottom, product portfolio not big enough

    Advice to Management

get into more specialty products with higher margins. need to find more uses for silicon carbide. if you want to become a commodity company (which you don't, but still compete against commodity products) the expectations for margins need to be adjusted. but i know, you are beholden to the shareholders, the curse of a public tech company that is scrambling to stay a tech company.
