I have been working at Crown Castle as a contractor

Pros

Good benefits and salaries. Company paid educational opportunities. State of the art / clean building. Company provided coffee.

Cons

Crown Castle seems to prefer to post more temp. positions rather than full time perm. positions.

Advice to Management

Remove policies segregating temps

I have been working at Crown Castle full-time

    Pros

You get industry experience, use it to find another job in a reputable company.

    Cons

Any company that constantly tries to hammer how good they are and how great their culture is, it's a sign they are compensating for a lack there of. Managers lead by fear and lies, hired in the old boys network of friends. In engineering, the managers all young (4 years of total work experience), no prior leadership but are good followers, or worse, one cannot even pass his engineering exam for licensure. But they become upset when the senior engineers don't sign every document they want. A few years back, a bad review came up on Glassdoor, the managers pulled people in one at a time and interrogated individuals to try and find the "bad seeds". Their motto is, if you bring up an issue, you're the problem and should be removed. Entire meetings are dedicated to ranking engineers by how much they are liked and follow without question. No oversight from upper management as they kept clueless. Most of the good reviews here are written by managers to sway the crowd and cover their ineptitude. Nothing good to say about the inexperienced leaders.

    Advice to Management

Follow what you preach, actually listen to the teams. Stop assuming you are infallible, drop the egos. Unfortunately in engineering one of the managers is best friends with the director so they determine all, and the rest have to follow along to protect their jobs.
