Approves of CEO

Pros

Professional growth, positive work environment, team-oriented.

Kingston Plantation property has competing bottom lines between Hilton Sales and Culinaire. Produces conflict.

Advice to Management

Reevaluate how budgets are projected. Put in the hands on Director of Catering/Conference Services vs. Food and Beverage.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Culinaire International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very talented and creative coworkers. Experience, aptitude, performance, and hard work are valued and respected by senior management An attitude of success is fostered and encouraged and it makes for an environment of mutual respect with both in-house departments and across different properties. Support teams (HR, accounting, IT, etc) are responsive and well informed when help is needed. Good diversity at the property at my property and seems to be also for other properties I've seen. Adequate resources available for success and continued growth if the drive and effort is made. Loyalty is rewarded with loyalty, high performance is recognized and rewarded. Overall a very positive employment experience for me.

    Cons

Because Culinaire is operated without a bloated upper management/support staff it can feel like a very small company at times and is missing some of the detailed structure and communication practices of many companies. For me that's still a huge pro, but I can see that being a con for others. Employees looking to advance upward very rapidly may find themselves becoming impatient due to low turnover among the permanent positions at some properties.
