    Negative Outlook

I have been working at CyberOptics full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Very interesting and innovative technologies. Fellow employees care about you and tend to work together to solve problems.

    Cons

Expectations are set unrealistically high in an effort to squeeze the most out of employees. Threats of restructuring are used as a motivational tactic.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the highest priority projects and do them well, instead of trying everything and hope for success on some.

I worked at CyberOptics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits (however that was in 2010 do not know if they've changed) decent 401k match, reasonable amount of PTO that continued to get better after hitting 5 year mark and reasonable ins. Certain department heads allow flexible schedule.

    Cons

Slackers are allowed to slide making others work load go up. Certain locations around the world are allowed to play by very different rules than other locations.

    Advice to Management

Don't let people in high positions take advantage of their titles. Have equal treatment across all locations for employees

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at CyberOptics full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

PTO (5 weeks), individual contributor level employees are fantastic, very interesting technology

    Cons

In certain departments, environment is continuous crisis; many employees unable to actually use PTO as intended nearly no sponsorship of employee skills development, training & education

    Advice to Management

Motivate by incentives rather than quietly implied threats. Share in the company's success.
