    Pros

    The firm has a good referral bonus program

    Cons

    The firm needs that bonus program because they can't retain talent. They'll gladly pay you $6k to refer one of your friends in, but put in the least possible amount of effort required to keep you around. Want to do Regulatory Compliance, IT Audit, IA, or Finance Transformation? Don't bother with this place. They'll lure you in the door, or out to the client site, and then bait and switch you faster than you can say...

    Advice to Management

    Quit saying one thing and doing another... or double down and keep mixing up the Kool-Aid. Does management even care about the things they read in this section? You should pay royalties to Larry Tesler. Had this guy not invented the copy & paste functions, you'd have no work to staff employees on.

    Recently the company has been implementing lots of changes. As a former intern and new hire, I was promised a retention bonus which over the course of several years could have resulted in a total bonus of $36,000, which as an accountant, I factored in to my decision making as to which job offer I accepted.     Advice to Management

    Bonuses should be performance based and not giving as a set amount across the board. Those who work long and hard to deliver exceptional work will move on to other companies who reward them for their hard work. Also, honor the retention bonus which was promised to us upon accepting our job offers.
