      I worked at DHL Express for more than 10 years

      Pros

      On the road meeting new clients on a daily basis. No supervisor standing over you throughout the day. Peace of mind when you're not in the mood to be bothered.

      Cons

      The depletion of domestic freight! It caused so many people to lose work & close relationships with co-workers, staff but most importantly, CUSTOMERS!

      I worked at DHL Express full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

      Friendly atmosphere, my supervisor was the best, hourly wages good, even maintained friendship many years later.

      Cons

      DHL was purchased, changed too fast, then acquired Airborne. DHL lost a lot of respect as soon as they did that. The purchase of Airborne ruined the family atmosphere the employees had.

      Advice to Management

      Wish you could go back. Never had a more wonderful job since. Ask your DHL Legacy employees how to turn back time. They will know.

      I have been working at DHL Express full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

      Great work-life balance, easy to hit sales metrics, but even so there is no reward or recognition for doing so. Kind of a joke.

      Cons

      4 years ago this company was great and the monetary incentives were thriving. In the last 4 years, management has turned over and the commission plan has since died. Incentive to make money is hanging on by a thread.

      Advice to Management

      Treat your employees like adults and incentivize your sales reps with money. The campaigns you all have been running are childish, nobody cares to pie their manager in the face for bringing in revenue.
