Pros

Strong import forwarding network. Pay was good. Brokerage software was easy to work with. Generally, a dedicated, conscientious staff. Divisional Brokerage mgmt supported the local operation.

Cons

Difficult to balance P/L and sales responsibilities and daily file compliance audits with meeting KPI's for daily operational output to meet clients needs. Cooperation of unionized breakbulk and warehouse staff with CHB operation was difficult to maintain consistency due to union work rules.

No formal training program for new entry writers.

Advice to Management

Increase performance accountability of union staff and dismiss non performers without having to resort to the 3 tiered warning system.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Small office, closeness like family with most of the employees

    Cons

Managment does not listen to ligitimate claims on others improfessional behaviors, such as stealing company time, spending hours on personal calls, coming in whenever they want. It seems supervisors get all the fringe benifits/
no way to move up anywhere / dead end job
Overtime is expected without getting paid for it

    Advice to Management

Take a big look on Management and supervisors that is where a lot of money is going, most only work about 35hr per week on high salaries while others on hourly pay work overtime with out getting paid.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

high respect from managers, good working atmosphere, job is not complicated, everybody could do that, not stressful and good value for money you receive.

    Cons

    - training could be more in detailed, coworkers are working very independently, could be better control over conflicts among employees

    Advice to Management

could be better training, otherwise i got trained by coworker, and i still don't know if she trained me correctly
