I worked at DISH full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

dont have to take your home with you, you can meet new people and lastly, its a paycheck in a bad economy.

Cons

horrible hours , open 365 days a year, worked in customer service for several years, not too much room to move up and does not look that great on your resume for the future.

    Pros

    As long as you're not dealing with upper management, the people are nice
    Nice environment

    Cons

    TONS of micromanagement
    Little to no room to advance
    Good work is rarely recognized
    Very poorly compensated for work put forth

    Advice to Management

    If you are not going to financially compensate for hard work, the least you can do is recognize it and give your employees a pat on the back.

    I worked at DISH full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    You don't usually have a boss looking over your shoulder. You go get your work orders, grab your van and make sure you equipped with whatever you need to get your jobs done and you take off. You work and get your route done and if there's extra time, you get more work. You get paid by the hour, but only 4 days a week.

    Cons

    Some houses you had to go up and crawl through small cramped attics, that were dingy and dirty and sometime you had to crawl under houses (older ones) to run a line and go under mobile homes to connect the lines to different rooms. The space were always small and dirty and it make working that much harder.
