Pros

Dish is a very fast moving tech company with strong goals, and great leadership. They are constantly changing to get better, and outpace the competition.

Cons

Dish has very little opportunity for advancement.

    I worked at DISH full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    all tools and training provided...company vehicles..uniforms...pay is good...free Dish TV...working on your own...if you work hard you can make good money...performance driven

    Cons

    managers always on your back about your performance because its a performance-based so you have to work quickly and efficiently...you are a number...it's not a 9 to 5 job and expect to work late some nights...all holidays...and mandatory overtime... the customer gets a call with a survey about your performance and the survey is a joke. its one to 10 and the only numbers that count are 9 and 10...10 pass 9 fail..

    Advice to Management

    most of the managers were techs at one time and they need better management training

    I have been working at DISH full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    lots of opportunities for promotions within the call center
    benefits like health insurance
    bilingual and trilingual service reps are highly valued. Spanish is probably the most important
    coaches and team leads are helpful and they keep you up to date on new products, packages, and such
    the best part for me is the team I work with. People are friendly and fun, and there's a lot of energy in the office.

    Cons

    you may take more than 100 calls a day, and at least 10% will be irrate customers who can't see their favorite show. Thick skin is needed.

    Advice to Management

    Don't try to make CSR's sell and do upgrades. That's not our expertise and it isn't what we signed up for.
