It was awful. They are unorganized, unprofessional and I don't know how they're still in business. - Anonymous employee DPR Group Employee Review

Pros

You can show up whenever you want, because that's exactly what the owner and upper management do.

Zero job security, zero support and zero training.

Pros

I was an intern at DPR Group and was offered a position after I graduated from college in 2007. I'm still utilizing the same skills today that I learned there 10 years ago. I became a better communicator, a better writer, and a better professional because of my time there. Even after I left in good standing to pursue a different career field, I remained in contact with leadership and continued to recommend them favorably. the Principal, Dan Demaree is a great guy, very personable, and straight forward.

Cons

It was a very interesting time in technology when I was an Account Coordinator. DPR Group specializes in Tech PR and things were changing at the speed of light in software, computers, databases, and tech in general. The core methods of PR remained consistent, but we live in a completely different world now and social media had barely taken off at the time. Today, SEO, Social Media, ect. are fundamental to communicating a message to your target audience, but it was all new territory back then. The one area where I never developed my skill set was PR consulting and strategy: understanding an employer and developing their messaging and branding that sets them apart. The leadership over the NC office at the time I was there was a little unstable which was probably the primary reason why I didn't grow as much there in my career as I probably could have.
