    Barbecue once a year during lunch

    Cons

    The plant is the worst place to work! Managers don't know if they coming or leaving, severely disorganized, they don't practice what they preach, it's very hot in the plant, employees don't move up, raises are $.25, and superiors hold a 2 hour meeting once a month that doesn't benefit anyone.

    Advice to Management

    Quit! Let someone take your place that will work and make a real difference.

    I have been working at DS Services of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    You only see your Route Operations Manager for about ten minutes in the morning and maybe not at all when you get back ten hours later.

    Cons

    Recently delivery drivers have been put on commision sales and the company in an attempt to gain new customers has lowered prices which actually lowers your pay. With the lower rates you get more customers so you end up working harder for less. The company is constantly hiring because of the turnover rate because the starting pay (new hires get $6.75 hr plus 3% commission) with the average bottle selling for $6, do the math! With each bottle about 42lbs and your expected to deliver 200 bottles over a 10-12 hour day. New drivers take home $380-$420 a week after taxes for a 60+ hr work week. After 3 years a driver attains 7%, the top step

    Advice to Management

    Upper management needs to tap into the Route Drivers/Sales People to get an honest assessment of what lower management is doing.
