I have been working at DaVita full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Intense culture, ability to grow, company-wide camaraderie, growing internationally, expanding scope of market to healthcare beyond kidney care.

Cons

For anyone who is uncomfortable working in a company with a strong culture the intensity of the culture at DaVita may seem a bit overwhelming and at times make you feel isolated.

Advice to Management

Keep in close contact with HR. I have experienced the loss of highly qualified candidates for middle management (i.e. FA positions) because of the lag time between initial contact and discussion of terms.

I worked at DaVita full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

General freedom of what hours you work.
    "OK" benefits

    Cons

    Management not accountable for themselves.
Management has complete lack of integrity.
Does not uphold the core values that they spew on others.
Overloads workers with insane amounts of work, then throws you out of the company if you can't handle it, which many can't.
Pay is horrible for amount of hours and work they expect you to do.

    Advice to Management

None, because they wouldn't listen anyway. Everything is your fault not managements.

I have been working at DaVita full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of benefits, includeing school reimbursment, PTO, Medical and Dental.

    Cons

No advancment for people without degrees, no matter how many years experience. Only 2% annual raises (if any). Quick to lecture when goals not met, but slow to praise when things are going well. No show of appreciation.

    Advice to Management

Don't streatch employees so thin. Give better oppurtunites for people without degrees to advance. AA's, FA's, Social Workers, and Dititians should be assigned for each clinic. Ratio for clinic floor should be 3 to 1, so that you always have extra for emergencies.
