I have been working at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Depends on the department and team, obviously, but mine has been fantastic. Great opportunities for professional development, interesting and satisfying work, and the chance to make a real impact on people's lives. Vacation and benefits are generally good. Pay is fair and at market. There is good support at DFCI for your "whole self," as evidenced by the employee resource groups.

Cons

Parental leave policy needs some work - currently only employees paid monthly can get paid leave (doctors and director level staff). Not great support for fathers.

Advice to Management

Update the parental leave policy. Turn your annual FY goals into SMART goals - something that can actually be measured, instead of just general ideas.
