I have been working at Darden full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

I work at Seasons 52 which is a newer brand under the Darden Corp which boasts a sentiment about it being "the last serving job you will ever have", and, although it is an easy statement to mock due to its bold fallibility, I would say it is a pretty accurate statement. Darden has a tried, tested and true platform for providing a high level of customer service to every customer while offering a wealth of knowledge for those looking to gain experience and work their way up through management.

Cons

Like any company, there is a fair share of politics. However, if you have integrity, a strong work ethic and grasp the idea of personal accountability, this company is a good place to plant your feet in the hospitality market.

Advice to Management

Spend some money on OUTSIDE training & development for management. There are WIDE gaps in management training when everyone in the company is trained on the same things. It would serve the company well to get fresh perspectives on how to manage teams more effectively and increasing the productivity in the workplace.

I have been working at Darden part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

great benefits, flexible scheduling, and a family like environment. They are willing to promote within.

    Cons

Tip out was more than usual. There wasn't much tolerance for mistakes

    Advice to Management

most of the managers have a great attitude, keep it up! For the others, maybe you should find a job that doesn't deal with people.

I worked at Darden part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

good line of communication between stores and corporate office making issues with management or pay a non issue

    Cons

none to write other than the occasional crappy manager that comes in to try and change the whole dynamic of the store but suck at his or her job and fails to be an effective leader

    Advice to Management

Step your game up! You guys are there to lead, not to play favorites and check out every new piece of tail that walks through the door
