I worked at Dassault Systemes as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

- Lot's of team based projects
- Open environment where you can share your ideas
- Fun and enthusiastic people
- Very cool new office space

Cons

It was sometimes easy too fall back on work because there isn't particularly any deadline I had to meet. I had to stay self-motivated which turned out to be not so difficult because the company did cool stuff.

Advice to Management

Keep being the fun and helpful people you are

I have been working at Dassault Systemes full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company has tons of clients all around the world which is great if you're looking for an international environment. You also have to be flexible to accommodate for that international environment. You can work from pretty much anywhere in the country but being nearby a local office is better in my opinion to have access to resources and coworkers. The culture, the people and the company is pretty relaxed but you're expected to get your job done. The French culture is omnipresent which can be a great bonus. People and teams are technically competent and good challenges are available.

    Cons

The French culture can also be a negative aspect of the company as it tends to favor clans and friends for promotion more than actual skills and desire for carrier advancements. On that note, some teams don't have any real possibility of carrier evolution.
Compensation is not good and is not necessarily well adjusted to your location. The management doesn't try to retain their skilled people in any way.

    Advice to Management

Build up the skills among your employees instead of suppliers and retain people that bring a value to company, too much turn over is bad for internal skill retention. Pay your people fairly according to their location (and not according to their marital status, number of kids or if they own/rent their home)

I have been working at Dassault Systemes full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Energetic, fast paced, a lot of opportunity if you take

    Cons

Communication, depends who you work for but things are getting better under the new managing director.

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing one company initiative for a more cohesive efficient company. Improve Boston area salaries. Reorg HR.
