I have been working at DeVry University full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Flexibile schedules, life/work balance, supportive management, great benefits including tution.

Cons

Few opportunities for Growth. Employees that perform seem to get overlooked. Yearly increases are minimal even after rounds of layoffs.

Advice to Management

Most of our sessions start around the holidays and limits our ability to enjoy holiday time off and making it difficult for students to plan vacations. Utilize the staff that actually perform and make sure that recognition is displayed evenly. Some KEY performers never get recognized.

I have been working at DeVry University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The do have a good training program and the offices and campuses were nice etc. Also, the staff in general at my location were overall good people

    Cons

Its not necessarily DeVry I dislike, more the concept of profit driven educational entities. These two things should not be mixed

I have been working at DeVry University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Truly offering a high quality option of higher education that is INCREDIBLY competitive in terms of cost. I really don't get what people are talking about when they say it's too expensive... compared to what?

    Cons

Decreased enrollments have equaled reduction in workforce and uneasiness among employees.

    Advice to Management

Use the incredible resource you have: the people that are succeeding in their roles. Don't create new plans on your own without that input and be confused when there is resistance.
