    Pros

It does give you expireance that will look good on your resume. You will be given more responsibilities (unfortunately unpaid). It is a resume builder. They do give you free fruit and coffee and tea. They also allow for innovative thought and creatitivity on some levels while other levels are micromanaged.

    Cons

There is a lot of instability in all levels of the organization. President just let go and in the last year or two they let go of around 7 or 8 of their 11-12 VP's. Lower levels did not fare much better. They routinely promise bonuses that they do not intend on paying. Each level is encouraged to do everything they can not to pay their reports all of their bonuses so they will get a larger portion of their own bonus. Even VP's do not get their promised bonuses. All of this happens while the Washington Post writes articles about how the owners (partners) just bought a GA sports team and all the other companies they own and their amazing net worth.

    Advice to Management

Start keeping promises and letting some of those profits your making go to the employees. Foster more of a cooperative environment. Occasionally a meeting shouldn't be potluck meals--maybe spring for the meal from time to time.

    Pros

Company is full of nice people. Everyone really cares about the customers.

    Cons

Organization is very small, but they use very old fashioned product management tactics that are only run by mega corporations. Slows down development and creates a silo that development hides in.

    Advice to Management

Change software development leaders. They don't know how to run a small development team.
