    Pros

    Flexible working, open management, supportive

    Cons

    Overworked, you will be doing more than you signed on to do. Firefighting issues stifles a lot of good work. Brexit dominates senior management.

    I have been working at Defra for less than a year

    Pros

    Use of latest technology, all the high end equipments required to do the job are provided. Felxible work hours, working from home,very supportive project managers, teams working in collaboration to achive the same goals.

    Cons

    Wifi at the office location can be a bit flaky at times and office space need refurbishment (Bristol TQH).

    Not as agile as the private sector - lots of red tape
