I worked at Dell full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Work/Life Balance is somewhat respected
    - Free Food for training and end of quarter time
    - Some good people to be around

    Cons

    - Ambiguity all over the place
    - Not knowing how you are getting paid, and if accurate
    - Horrible Management (Micro)
    - Ever changing territory reassignments
    - Most boring job ever, I work smart and not hard, thus I crush my number and get my work done in about an hour, leaving 7 to do absolutely nothing
    - Laid off because Dell lost a contract, not myself
    - Dell denying unemployment, just to drag it out and not have to pay

    Advice to Management

Grow up. Let people actually manage their own business and you will be amazed at the production. Enough with never knowing what is going on, or knowing and not efficiently communicating it down the line.
