Advice to Management

Reward your people more, the team at Dell is better than most companies with very litre dross, you cannot apply a bell curve to them.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Dell full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - You can sell a huge range of products if you understand IT
    - International atmosphere
    - You can find friends in the office who often go for a drink at the "Stehbar" after work
    - You will easily get a job if you speak some German and English (just pretend you are interested in IT)

    Cons

    - Swiss management (and everyone above) is mainly busy with forecasts and themselves. "Cosmetics" is everything.
    - Employees have good ideas but are not listened to. They don't count much from management perspective.
    - Management hinders career moves of talented employees. Those are favoured and hired who will not become "dangerous" (= who don't speak up for what is right).
    - You can be promoted one job grade per year.

    Advice to Management

Start to be honest and value your employees or start a career as politician.

I worked at Dell full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Young People, with a lot of energy

    Cons

    Lack of control
sales focus without interes in recuperating accounts recievables
    Controllers without control
    Nobody's land

    Advice to Management

You have a good company with a lot of energy inside but you have to pay attention on accounts recievables..there is the lack of control that made you loose tons of money and sales managers were introducing orders and never deliver them cause there was no follow-up...they recieve their bonus an logistics was a mess and had tons of computers in their inventory that were never sold...agian...LACK OF CONTROL
