Pros

challenging, ever changing, a place to evolve your knowledge and develop great relationships.

Cons

still learning how to globalize efficiently, and thus sometimes decisions may take a day too many

Advice to Management

as the company continues its journey, it needs to keep speed in the back of its mind. For this, it is required to keep company's BUs fast to react

I have been working at Dell full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good Work-Life Balance. Changed for the better over the years. The company embraces working from home which is a plus. All phones are VOIP so your laptop is your hub.

    Cons

Hard to advance up the corp ladder unless you sell your soul to the company. Directors easily work 70 hour workweeks which includes nights and weekends.

I have been working at Dell full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good opportunities to move up in the company if you work hard and show that you want to learn, and obtain IT certifications. Dell training is very good. Pay is also above average for tech support, esp. for those new in the field. CEO is very down to earth, very cool in this day and age. Benefits are very good, matching 401K up to 5%, free cert testing, free on-line IT study books, etc.

    Cons

Not clear how going private will affect company, but change is likely. Sometimes good, other times unclear.

    Advice to Management

Be careful going private and losing some control of the company to corporate raiders.
