No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Dell full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Great experience for an under experienced person - Great career advancement for the driven folks as their is so much churn and turmoil within.

Cons

Too much churn and turmoil - Once you gain the experience get out ASAP.

Advice to Management

Good luck with the transformation but you lacked vision (you EOL'ed the Dell Axim when it was industry leading...and now handhelds own the market)...

    Doesn't Recommend

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Dell full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work life balance can be had - if you assert it, working remote often possible. Compensation acceptable for the Austin area.

    Cons

The company is going nowhere, with a horrible strategy. Reorganizations happen quarterly and the company is now laying off employees by the shovelful. Executives don't care about customers, products or making a positive impact - but only about their metrics.

Benefits are eroded on a yearly basis.

    Advice to Management

Shut it down and give the cash back to their shareholders: you are obviously not competent enough to do something with it.
