* I am fortunate to have a terrific manager that encourages working with a mentor to help hone my skills * Dell provides many benefits such as points that can be awarded and redeemed as well as monetary awards * Vacation. In a time when many technology companies have eliminated vacation Dell is very generous with its vacation policies * Great teams!

* Company is still working to move into providing software and hardware solutions. In a day when competition is critical I worry about Dell's ability to stay in the lead

For inviduals who are interested in broadening skills and experience Dell has many career opportunities across business units, functional organizations and regions. Generally manangers and coworkers are supportive.

Cons

Pay growth is small if staying at a position for too long. Career growth becomes stagnant at top IC level.
