I worked at Deloitte full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Average pay; 23 days PTO; big projects for personal growth; good opportunities

    Cons

No work life balance at all; Office politics; Wont have time to use your PTO cause you are always busy. Busy season is super long (more than 8 months); expensive health care; low match to 401K 24 cents to $1 up to 6%; you are expected to work when you are sick and running a favor; low dinner budget for overtime working

    Advice to Management

If you promote work life balance, then let the employees have it. hire more poeple as you obviously need more people. it is not okay to have people go home after 12am every day for several months

I have been working at Deloitte full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Variety of project experiences across industries, wonderful place for a first job right after graduating college

    Cons

Your experiences depends on the people you work with and know so there is a ton of variability

    Advice to Management

Nonclient work is difficult to balance. Have some resources that are not focused on client work focus on and drive the firm initiatives in order for more people to be able to have work life balance.

I worked at Deloitte full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

These folks know exactly what they are doing. They set high standards, and consistently deliver. Their project expectations and planning is excellent. The top level management folks are extremely smart and have a great sense of vision and planning. If you go to company social events (which are very frequent by the way), it is quite easy to have conversations with upper management people (Partners). Deloitte's hiring...

    Cons

Work-life balance can become poor, especially during tight project timelines (This is expected in the Consulting Business). The employees have a significant amount of "firm-internal" training and knowledge contribution tasks. There are annual goal expectations. It can get tedious if you continuously work on high demand projects. There is intense competition, especially during targeted promotion/milestone years. There...

    Advice to Management

I have high regards for the Senior Management in this company. I think they are the market leaders in the industry, especially with their consistent high standards. Personally, I think they should strongly encourage some "end-to-end" hands-on responsibility in the IT consulting division. There are very few hands-on guys. I have seen a lot of segregation of duties between people that causes endless heartburn during...
