I have been working at Deluxe Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Always looking to improve it's service to it's customers.
Employees feedback counts and is requested often.
It's not uncommon to have employees with 25+ years of service which to me shows loyalty.
They're constantly seeking to be current for their customers and employees.

Cons

Due to long term loyalty not much turn over and positons don't become available often.
Some times Management has good intentions for growth but get side-tracked by spreadsheet results rather then what the market is doing.

Advice to Management

To many changes to quickly don't allow employees to acclamate.
Stop looking at spreadsheets for answers.

    Pros

    Work is 9-5 and you can check out when you clock out. Benefits are decent as well.

    Cons

    Employee raises are minimal, seen as a cost to be mitigated rather than assets to be invested in. Middle management lay-offs annually, makes it scary to advance.

    Advice to Management

    Give reviews and raises based on performance and value, not a budget.

    I worked at Deluxe Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Initial salary was competitive
    Benefits started quickly - insurance, 401k
    Most of the people there are genuinely nice, enthusiastic and good at what they do

    Cons

    Raises were kept artificially low
    Change was constant, and not for the better
    Management was brought in from the outside, does not understand the product, and were looking to outsource immediately in order to show profitability, rather than improving the product
    Management was interested only in the bottom line, not in providing good customer service and a good product

    Advice to Management

    Hire from within. Listen to employees who understand the business and how to make it work for the customers. The business model was good when I was hired, but new leadership was brought in and implement changes to a business model that is outdated and ineffective.
