Pros

They pay a bit more than other places for articles of the same length.
You can work at home, any time of day.
No phone calls involved.
Articles written are researched online, so all information needed is at your fingertips.
They offer a good forum if you have any problems.

Cons

They are a bit more picky about how the articles are written.
You have to choose to write about titles available, and good titles are not always available.

Advice to Management

Be more strict about proper categorization of your titles to make them easier to locate.

    Pros

Young and nimble company. Willing to try things out and if they don't work not afraid to drop non productive initiatives. Very data driven, management makes decisions based more on data then on feelings. The general employee population is a higher caliber person highly skilled in the area they are responsible. Feels like a small company but has the infrastructure and support systems of a larger company.

    Cons

There is a little left over baggage from some acquisitions that need to be better integrated into the whole company. Some teams don't like to at least look at ways process could improve the business so there is a limit to how much a good process can be repeated.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to bring in simple repeatable processes.

    Pros

    1. The prestige and fast growth of the company looks great on your resume.
    2. You get really high access to the company's inner workings.
    3. The environment is so fun.

    Cons

    1. They demand too much in-office time from interns.
    2. It's easy to fall into the "give it to the free intern" slump of doing menial work.

    Advice to Management

Yes, you are a "fun" and "young" office. Don't forget that your young interns are only a couple years younger than many of your employees.
