Pros

Entrepreneurial environment allows success but with limitations. If you can bring in wealthy, low-risk clients, this is an okay place for you depending on the branch manager. If you are support staff you may have the opportunity to share commissions but it depends on the brokers you work with who can be generous, stingy, or somewhere in between.

Cons

If you are support staff, there is no room for professional growth. DB will not approve tuition reimbursement. You will not be promoted. DB Private Wealth Management has entrenched operations processes that are inefficient. DB PWM Americas is overly cautious so finding new business can be a challenge at times. Support software for account performance monitoring, trading, or opening new accounts is outdated and slow.

Advice to Management

Invest in your staff and invest in technology. Your competitors are light years ahead.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time

    Pros

Good experience, great name to have on resume

    Cons

The days of investment banking is gone; company is making less and less money despite making it's employees work the same or more. The industry itself is declining

    Advice to Management

Remove the inefficient way of making so called "pitchbooks"; provide employees with decent computer so that it does not crash in the middle of the night; and basically stop ripping clients off by giving wrong advice

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people of DB are friendly and hard working

    Cons

The infrastructure of DB is very poor. The management has tried to reduce cost by offshoring the jobs or nearshoring the job to low cost locations. Good performers are not rewarded adequately or motivated. If you stay in the bank for a long time, the pay would be below average as the increase is minimal year over year regardless of the performance.
