    Pros

The great thing about working at Dex are my co-workers. The employees that work for Dex are phenomenal and smart people. The talent the company has as a whole is enormous, if management got out of the way, it would greatly improve the chances of the company staying afloat.

    Cons

Management does not communicate well, they are chasing revenue and they are throwing everything at the wall to see if it sticks. The company has never been integrated after acquiring businesses and tons of money is being wasted with duplicate efforts on various projects. Many dollars have been wasted trying to keep a dying product (yellow pages) alive due to an old YP regime.

The employees are overworked, unable to focus on tasks because everything becomes an emergency due to lack of planning on managements part.

Also, there is a difference between managing and leading. Dex One is seriously lacking in leadership skills at the highest levels.

    Advice to Management

Decide what the company does, determine it's core strengths and come up with a focused plan. Stop treating your employees like they are expendable and utilize the full set of talents they bring to the table. And when you put people in leadership positions, make sure they have the skills to lead.

Many locations so one can transfer IF they can make it their first two years.

    Cons

Management puts a ton of pressure to make sales goals.
Management not very professional in treatment of sales reps.

    Advice to Management

This is tough, it's like asking to give advice to the captain of the Titanic.
They are trying hard to stay afloat as print advertising is dying out.
