Systems need upgrading. Sometimes hyper growth creates chaos

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Dexcom full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Always looking to improve. Pays well.

    Cons

Employees chosen for promotion are not the best candidates and are chosen because of someone’s feelings about them rather than proven success or talent.

    Advice to Management

Watch out for who you promote because some of the supervisors are toxic and make working at Dexcom difficult.

    I worked at Dexcom full-time

    Pros

Great place to gain a lot of valuable experience. There is always something to do. Many opportunities to grow in your current role, to move onto other roles, and to learn other roles in parallel. The people hired here are amazing, great social work culture. Some coworkers I made at Dexcom have become close friends of mine.

    Cons

Working overtime seems to be the norm across most departments when it shouldn't be. The company overall seems to move too fast sometimes which sacrifices quality in some instances. Dexcom definitely pays much less than the industry average as well.

    Advice to Management

Understand that everyone is there to work but also understand that we are people. Work will always be there, there is no need to have 9-10 hour days become the norm. Slow down the process. Business deadlines are important to meet of course but maybe try not to set ridiculous deadlines in the first place. Quality should always be a higher priority than most. And finally, start paying employees more if you expect...
