I worked at DialAmerica part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to work with some great people.

    Cons

I'm going to try to say as little as possible. First off, you have to ask to use the restroom. Last time I checked, I'm an adult and don't need to be told when it's okay for me to go or not. Second thing, the managers are ridiculous. They are so incompetent and uneducated and suck at their position. They make unrealistic sales goals and expectations. Flexible scheduling? Don't make me laugh. You will work when they tell you to. Basically, if you get good sales you will get treated like royalty, but if you have a bad day then you suck and don't ask for anything that day because you won't get it. One thing that baffled me and still does: It's only ok for supervisors and managers to give you food and drink on the sales floor, but it's not ok for you to bring it on your own! And the difference is??? Also, no books or anything on sales floor? O yea because reading a book so interferes with you waiting to push a button when you hear that stupid little beep through your headset.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to be fair and actually manage instead of walking around like you know everything because you have the title of manager. Just because you have that title doesn't automatically mean you have the skills necessary to do the job adequately. LEARN HOW TO DO YOUR JOB!!!!!
